Oral cancer screening is usually part of a routine dental examination. In this exam, we will feel for lumps or irregular tissue changes in your head, neck, face and inside your mouth. We will also look for sores or discolored tissue in your mouth. Some believe some oral cancer risk factors are hereditary. A healthy diet, maintaining good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are recommended in preventing oral cancer. When it comes to your health, you are of utmost importance.
